0. The short version
Seufic gives you a private, encrypted record of yourself — your profile, your approved memories and your document summaries — so that an assistant reading it can give you answers that are genuinely personal and accurate. The record is yours. We do not sell it, we do not train models on it, and you can export or delete it at any time. This summary is a convenience, not a substitute for the sections below.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating a Seufic account, or by using Seufic in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not use the service. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "Seufic", they mean the operator of the Seufic service; where they say "you", they mean the individual holding the account.
If you are using Seufic on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. Who may use Seufic
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that age is higher. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement, and you must not be barred from using the service under any applicable law.
One account belongs to one person. Do not share your account credentials, and do not let anyone else use your record as though it were theirs.
3. Your account and your credentials
You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Anyone holding it can read your entire record, so treat it as the key to the whole thing. Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to your account.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep every right you already have in the profile details, memories, documents, images and messages you put into Seufic. We claim no ownership of them.
You grant us only the narrow, revocable licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to transmit it between your devices and our infrastructure, and to process it so that the features you have asked for — summarising a document, answering a question, screening an image — can work. That licence exists for your benefit and ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not sell your content. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train machine-learning models.
5. Privacy, encryption and what the assistant reads
Your record is scoped to your account at the database level, so no other account can read your rows. Uploaded files are held in a private area only your account can open. Traffic is encrypted in transit and data is encrypted at rest.
To be exact about what that does and does not mean: our infrastructure holds the keys to the storage layer, so this is not end-to-end encryption in the strict sense. Access is restricted by policy and by the database itself, and it is not used for anything beyond running the service for you — but a court order, or a sufficiently serious breach, is a real limit on any such promise. We would rather say so here than imply a guarantee we cannot make.
The assistant sees only three things: your profile, the memories you have explicitly approved, and the summaries of documents you have uploaded. It does not see your raw files, and it cannot save a memory on its own — it may suggest one, and only you can approve it.
To generate replies and summaries, the relevant part of your record is sent to our model provider for the duration of that request. We instruct the provider not to retain it for training. If you would rather a fact never left your device, do not add it to your record.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload or store content that is illegal where you or we operate;
- upload sexual content involving minors, or any content depicting non-consensual sexual activity;
- upload another person's private or sensitive information without their consent;
- use Seufic to harass, defraud, impersonate or endanger anyone;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or circumvent the service's security, rate limits or safety screening;
- resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties as your own; or
- use automated means to extract the service beyond what an ordinary account would do.
Uploaded images pass through an automated safety screen before they are stored. An image that fails is rejected and not saved. The screen is automated and imperfect in both directions.
7. What the assistant is, and is not
The assistant produces text using a language model. It can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken, including about facts drawn from your own record. Check anything that matters.
Seufic is not a medical, legal, financial, tax or mental-health service, and nothing it produces is professional advice. Do not rely on it for decisions that need a qualified professional, and do not use it in an emergency.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep Seufic running and to give notice before removing something you depend on, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn. We may impose reasonable limits on storage, upload size or request rate.
If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your record first.
9. Deleting your account, and the 31-day window
You can delete your account from Settings at any time, without asking us. When you do:
- your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out;
- your record is retained, unreadable to anyone else, for 31 days;
- during those 31 days you can reactivate simply by signing in again and confirming;
- after 31 days the account and everything in it — profile, memories, documents, stored files and conversations — is permanently erased and cannot be recovered by you or by us.
Backups taken before deletion may persist for a short additional period before they expire on their normal schedule. If you want a copy of your record, export it before you start the deletion.
10. Suspension and termination by us
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that puts other people or the service at risk, or that we are legally required to act on. Where it is lawful and safe to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your record.
11. Disclaimers
Except where the law does not allow it, Seufic is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, arising out of your use of Seufic. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give you notice in the product before it takes effect, and the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Seufic after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, delete your account.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to the privacy commitments above.
These terms, together with any notices published in the product, are the entire agreement between you and us about Seufic.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms, or about your record, can go to [email protected].
